Garden Cottage York provides great traditional Yorkshire accommodation.  This charming and unique holiday cottage adjoins ‘The Old Vicarage’ in the village of Appelton Roebuck just 8 miles south west of York. The property is early Victorian with plenty of character and provides very comfortable accommodation in this Yorkshire conservation village. York city centre is only a short distance away with its unique blend of historic attractions, restaurants, bars and shops.

This Yorkshire cottage provides accommodation for up to 14 people and is therefore ideal for reunions, large groups or multi-family holidays. There is plenty of living space with a large farmhouse style open plan kitchen, living room, games room and conservatory all on the ground floor. The dinning kitchen can accommodate a large dinner party and dining for all 14 guests. The conservatory overlooks and has access to the private garden with patio area. There are outdoor wooden garden table and chairs along with a BBQ.  There are 4 bedrooms located on the ground floor. The 4th bedroom can be a double bedroom or a games room. There are two further double bedrooms on the first floor both on has and additional single bed within it and the other has a roll away bed.

Although Appleton Roebuck is a traditional Yorkshire Village it has lots of facilities on its doorstep. Supermarket food shopping is only a short distance away by car and the village itself has a pub that serves food in its restaurant and there is also an Inn that serves drinks. The pub and the Inn are only a short walking distance from the holiday cottage.

The walled City of York is one of the most visited cities in Britain. Its blend of traditional character and ancient buildings along with a huge variety of restaurants, bars, historic sites, visitor attractions, unique independent shops as well as some of the bigger chain stores make it a very popular destination. There are several museums within the walled city as well as York Minster of course as well as two theatres. It does get busy and cars can access the city but there are also excellent park and ride facilities available. On the outskirts of York there is a large shopping centre at Monks Cross a large John Lewis store and not far away from the accommodation is the Designer Outlet shopping centre.

For those that want fresh air, exercise or just beautiful scenery then only a short journey by car and you can be in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales or the Yorkshire Moors. The world renowned Fountains Abbey is no too far away and both Harrogate and Leeds nearby. With excellent Yorkshire accommodation then the Garden Cottage is an ideal holiday cottage for larger parties to enjoy what North Yorkshire has to offer.
